Appxiom for Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) Is Live
The Appxiom Kotlin Multiplatform SDK brings bug detection to shared Kotlin code on Android and iOS. Catch crashes, ANRs, app hangs, memory leaks and Ktor API failures from one integration.
What is new
Appxiom now supports Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP). Add the SDK to your shared module once and get the same bug detection, activity trails and Goal Friction Impact analysis on both your Android and iOS apps.
The SDK ships as version 2.1.0 in three modules: appxiom-kmp-core, appxiom-kmp-compose for Compose Multiplatform and appxiom-kmp-ktor for the Ktor client. It needs Kotlin 1.9.20 or later, Android minSdk 23 and iOS 15.
What the KMP SDK detects
- Crashes: uncaught exceptions from shared Kotlin code on Android, Kotlin/Native crashes on iOS and uncaught coroutine errors.
- ANRs and app hangs: main-thread freezes on Android and iOS, tracked automatically.
- Memory: abnormal memory usage and memory leaks in release builds, including Compose Multiplatform screens.
- HTTP and API errors: failed Ktor requests, status code errors, timeouts and duplicate calls.
- Handled errors: caught exceptions reported with
Ax.reportError, with your own context attached. - Custom issues: your own business failures, reported once from shared code.
Get started
Follow the KMP setup guide to add the Gradle dependencies and initialize the SDK on each platform. If you use an AI coding agent, run npx @appxiom/kmp-skills add all and let the agent do the setup for you.
