Verify Integration with Test Issues

After integrating appxiom-kmp-core and configuring your credentials, verify that your Android and iOS applications successfully transmit events to the Appxiom dashboard.

Step 1: Add a Temporary Test Call

Call Ax.test() directly after initialization or inside a button click:

Option A: Built-in Quick Test

import tech.appxiom.kmp.Ax

// Triggers an issue report with where="Ax" and description="Test Issue Raised"
Ax.test()

Option B: Contextual Test in Compose Multiplatform

import androidx.compose.material3.Button
import androidx.compose.material3.Text
import androidx.compose.runtime.Composable
import tech.appxiom.kmp.Ax

@Composable
fun DebugTestButton() {
Button(
onClick = {
Ax.reportIssue(
where = "DebugMenu",
description = "Manual Integration Test",
detailedDescription = "Verifying KMP Appxiom SDK connectivity from debug settings."
)
}
) {
Text("Trigger Appxiom Test Issue")
}
}

Step 2: Confirm in Appxiom Dashboard

  1. Open app.appxiom.com.
  2. Select your application from the dropdown.
  3. Open the Issues tab.
  4. You should see a new issue:
    • Title: Manual Integration Test or Test Issue Raised
    • Location: DebugMenu or Ax
    • Device & OS: Your connected device or simulator
    • Activity Trail: Recent screen and lifecycle breadcrumbs

Pre-Release Cleanup Checklist

Before opening pull requests or creating production release builds:

  • Remove Ax.test() or debug test buttons from production paths.
  • Confirm Info.plist and Application.onCreate use production App and Platform keys (no placeholders).
  • Ensure Android ProGuard keep rules are active for release builds.
