Android Resource Usage Exit Detection
Automatic Detection: This feature is automatically activated for both debug and release builds on Android 11+ (API Level 30+).
Appxiom SDK automatically detects process terminations caused by resource consumption limits (such as file descriptor limits or thread limits) using Android OS ApplicationExitInfo diagnostics.
When the OS terminates your app process due to excessive resource allocation, Appxiom captures the exit metadata on the subsequent app launch and reports an issue of Type 37 (RESOURCE_USAGE_EXIT_ISSUE) to the Appxiom dashboard.
Overview
Key Capabilities
- Resource Limit Monitoring: Identifies process kills resulting from system resource exhaustion beyond RAM allocations.
- Post-Mortem Diagnostics: Preserves last known activity trail and device context leading up to termination.
- Automatic Setup: Zero setup required; runs on Android 11+ (API Level 30+).
Integration Requirements
This feature works automatically once basic SDK integration is complete.
